Obama falls to lowest approval rating of presidency so far

The President may be on vacation in tony Martha’s Vineyard, but a new Gallup Poll shows that only 38 percent of Americans approve the job Obama is doing so far – the lowest approval rating so far of his presidency.
The poll – taken between August 20 and 22 – shows also that 54 percent disapprove Obama’s job performance so far, also the highest level so far since Gallup tracked the President’s performance since his inauguration.
Additionally, the Siena Research Institute conducted a poll of New Yorkers, which found that only 36 percent of voters approve his performance – a more devastating sign of a tough re-election year in 2012.
“If the Democratic National Committee has to spend money competing in New York for the presidential victory next year, they are in big trouble. Because if they are competing in New York, which is a two-to-one Democratic state, that does not bode well for them nationally,” said Steven Greenberg, a pollster for Siena.
Just a few months ago, Obama was riding high with a bump from the killing of Osama bin Laden. Since then, due to the debt talks in Washington and anemic economic expansion, economic conditions have weighed on voters more than national security interests.

I hope Obama is defeated. He has so many constituencies with their hands out, he cannot formulate policies that are good for the country. He has to continually look over his shoulder to see if his base is happy and they are not. Obama has succeeded in pleasing very few outside of black voters who will vote for him even though black unemployment is double that of whites and more people are on food stamps. A 38% approval number is getting close to Bush numbers. I don’t see him turning things around. He doesn’t understand the market economy and is tied to job killing ideology. If he is reelected, the US will experience a ten year period of very low growth and high unemployment.
Its funny how we white americans forget! Mr Bush put our country in this damm mess!! Not Mr Obama god damm america!!.
